Gartner’s SAM Managed Service Provider Overview includes B-lay for two consecutive years
In April 2019, Gartner published its “Market Guide for Software Asset Management Managed Service Providers”. For the second time in a row, B-lay is one of the 19 companies included in the report.
Gartner published the overview of organizations that provide SAM services for the first time last year. Their continuous attention to the software asset management market proves that they recognize the complex dynamics of the field.
More and more organizations are becoming aware of the challenges a successful software asset management discipline entails. The complexity of contracts is constant, while the software licensing options and usage rights are actively changing. The dramatic growth in cloud adoption doesn’t help to ease the management of software consumption. On the contrary, everything becomes even more cumbersome, especially if specific SAM knowledge is lacking.
Generally, SAM managed service providers employ core skills and software vendors’ methodologies to transform and enhance existing processes, with the main purpose of achieving software compliance and cost optimization.
B-lay has been providing software asset management services for the past 10 years. We support our customers with insight into their software usage and spend, based on our extensive knowledge and experience. In this way, our customers have all the input required to base their decisions on, without having to build detailed SAM expertise within their own organization.
Having a unique approach, we deliver our services mostly remotely. That means that our customers don’t have a single dedicated onsite consultant, but a number of highly specialized people working with them. On top of that, we are completely independent, as we don’t resell licenses or tools. We believe in data-driven SAM: data shows where the biggest savings opportunities are, but also helps identify the biggest SAM challenges. This approach makes our SAM programs very practical, leading to results from a very early stage.
Heidy Goyens, managing partner at B-lay:
“We are proud to be one of less than twenty companies worldwide appearing in the Gartner market guide. It is very rewarding to support our customers to not only achieve short term results, but also obtain long term benefits in terms of compliance, risk management, cost avoidance and software spend. As the SAM market develops, we will keep on developing our knowledge and services in order to stay in the forefront of SAM managed services.”
