B-lay is the only Dutch company included in Gartner’s SAM Managed Service Provider Overview

B-lay in Gartners report

Utrecht, 21 February 2018 – B-lay is the only Dutch company included in Gartner’s “Market Guide for Software Asset Management Managed Service Providers”. It is the first time the analyst publishes an overview of organizations providing services in software asset management (SAM).

Gartner recognizes that the software market is changing on account of complex contracts, extensive software licensing options, changing usage rights and a rapidly growing range of software vendors. Due to the evolving deployment models of software – physical, mobile, virtual and cloud – managing software consumption is becoming increasingly important to companies. SAM managed service providers, with their specialist knowledge in licensing and usage conditions of software, are thereby indispensable according to Gartner. The IT analyst therefore expects that the usage of SAM managed service providers will have increased by 40 percent in 2021.

Gartner has included an overview of 19 internationally operating providers of SAM services in the Market Guide. B-lay distinguishes itself from the other providers because of its specialization in enterprise software vendors such as Oracle and IBM.

Mark van Wolferen, co-founder and director of B-lay is pleased with Gartner’s report:

“This report shows that our sector is becoming mature and that more and more companies see the value of software asset management. We absolutely recognize ourselves in the growing complexity and the magnitude of the market that Gartner outlines. Engaging a SAM managed service provider is increasingly seen as a smart financial choice. Quite rightly, if you look at the benefits in the areas of risk management, spending control, compliance and cost savings.”
